Trust and Reliance on Allah

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.

Brothers, sisters, friends and elders, we welcome you to the 40 episode of the Islamic informative videos based on healing and incidents from the Holy Quran. In this video, we will described:
Trust and Reliance on Allah

Surah Aal-e-Imran offers powerful encouragement to the believers to place their complete trust and reliance in Allah, especially during moments of hardship, fear, and uncertainty. Throughout the Surah, Allah reminds the Muslims that trials are part of their journey, and that true faith is reflected not only in worship and obedience but also in unwavering trust in His wisdom, mercy, and plan. This concept of *tawakkul*—trusting in Allah—is a fundamental pillar of Islamic belief, one that brings strength to the heart and calmness to the soul even in the face of overwhelming odds.

One of the most profound moments when this encouragement is conveyed is in the context of the Battle of Uhud. After the initial Muslim victory turned into a difficult and painful loss, the morale of the believers was shaken. Loved ones had been martyred, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had been injured, and confusion had spread among the ranks. In the aftermath, it would have been easy for fear, doubt, or despair to take hold. But instead, Allah reminded the believers that victory and defeat are both part of His divine will, and that their duty is to remain steadfast and put their complete trust in Him, regardless of the immediate outcome.

The Surah teaches that trusting in Allah does not mean abandoning effort or sitting idle. It means doing one’s best—striving, planning, and acting sincerely—while understanding that the results are in Allah’s hands alone. The believers are instructed to prepare and take action, but never to rely solely on their own strength or strategies. Rather, they are to understand that Allah’s wisdom encompasses all things, and what may seem like a loss could be a hidden blessing, a lesson, or a preparation for something greater.

This message is also reflected in the verse: *“And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him]”* (Aal-e-Imran 3:159). This shows that *tawakkul* should follow after sincere effort and decision-making. It is not a passive state but an active mindset of peace and submission, knowing that Allah’s plan is always best, even when it is not immediately clear to us.

Trust in Allah also provides the believers with courage. When they place their fears and worries in the hands of the Almighty, they become more resilient, more patient, and more hopeful. In battles, in loss, and in personal struggles, this trust serves as a source of inner strength. It transforms fear into hope and hesitation into determination.

In conclusion, the encouragement to trust in Allah found in Surah Aal-e-Imran is a timeless message for all believers. It teaches that faith is not only about believing in the unseen but also about surrendering one’s heart to Allah’s plan in moments of both joy and sorrow. True success does not come from worldly means alone but from reliance upon the One who controls all outcomes. In trusting Allah, the believers find peace, power, and the promise of His eternal support.

With this, we ask for your permission until tomorrow and pray to Allah Almighty to grant us the ability to act on the Quran and Hadith, Amen

Allah Hafiz
