Resurrection Sunday 2025

Jesus had been crucified, died and was laid in a tomb. It seemed that darkness had won. The hope of salvation laid in a tomb. Jesus, on at least three occasions had told his disciples that He would be killed, but would rise again in three days. Those words were now lost on the disciples who cowed in fear that they would be next. Sometime in the early hours of Sunday morning an angel of the Lord descended, the earth shook and the stone was removed. Hope was alive; Jesus had risen from the grave. Sin and death were defeated foes. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most important event in human history. The resurrection proves Jesus was more than just a moral example, great teacher or prophet. He is Emmanuel, God with us. He was lived, died and now lives forevermore. There is no other name by which men are saved!
