If I don't teach my son how to be a man who will?

Taking your boy from child to young man was something that used to be sacred and extremely important to every father.

Initiations and rituals were standard.

Now many boys don't even know what their father does for work and see them for an hour a day if they're lucky.

These boys need a male role model and where do they go?

They go to social media, they go to the internet, they watch middle-aged men playing video games in their basement.

Many boys are living without any guide in their life. And many of those boys have one that sleeps in the same house with them every night.

They think all day If this is the day their father will spend time with them and show them how to live, show them how to be successful.

What takes priority?

I'm very proud that my son at 9 years old still says he wants to be me when he grows up.

But I know that if I relent, if I let myself go and if I'm not on the attack every day that can all go away.

You don't have to be someone that inspires your son.

You can leave it up too TV, TikTok, or their school.

But I want it to be me.

I always wanted to be a Rising Father but didn't always live that life.

Like many men I had doubt and fear that held me back.
