BURKINA FASO FOILS FRESH FOREIGN PLOT TO TOPPLE GOVT

Burkina Faso - under the revolutionary, pan-African leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré - has foiled yet another alleged attempt to destabilise the country and bring down his government. The nation’s security minister revealed the names of two coup plotters who he said had links to ‘masterminds’ operating from Ivory Coast. The coup was planned for 16 April but was exposed in time thanks to information provided by soldiers and home-guard volunteers, whom the conspirators had attempted to bribe into taking part. The hunt to catch those involved is on.
