A German fairy tale from the Brothers Grimm stories. When a poor miller brags to the king that his daughter can spin gold from straw, the king locks her away to force her to do so. A strange little man appears in her room and says he will spin the straw into gold, but in return she must give him her firstborn child in payment. Retold by Patricia Daniels. Illustrated by Sandy Nightingale. Available on archive.org at https://archive.org/details/rumpelstiltskin00dani/mode/2up
