In a recent interview with Shannon Sharpe of the Club Shay Shay podcast, Terence Crawford opened up about many aspects of his personal life, including family and friends.

Over the years, Crawford has been one of the most hated black fighters I've seen in a long time. To a degree, Marvin Hagler, Bernard Hopkins, James Toney, and Roy Jones were disliked by the mainstream media.

But they were loved by the black community. Things have changed in the social media era. Crawford has been getting a lot more love since opening up to different media outlets for interviews.

He's letting his personality show a bit more. Something he was reluctant to do in the past. During the Top Rank days, they hated him. Bob Arum would speak good about Terence Crawford one minute, then sh*t on him the next minute.

Big platforms like Club Shay Shay, Million Dollaz Worth of Game, All The Smoke Podcast, and others show Crawford mad love in this new podcast era.

His publicist, Julie Goldsticker of Top Rank, has convinced Bud that conducting these interviews is good for his image. I've spoken to managers, employees at Top Rank, and mainstream reporters in the past.

They all said the same thing. Terence Crawford was difficult to deal with. He seemed to have an attitude all the time. He was distant and not approachable. Now, he looks like a new person.

Shannon Sharpe asked Bud some good questions in this small clip from the Club Shay Shay interview. In this brief conversation, as it relates to Spence, Bud asked a question. Why can't you like me and Spence?

Shannon pointed out, and I quote, "It seems to be in today's time that if I like something, I can't like the other. End quote. This means that I have to love one and hate the other.

Bud said it's only like that in our community. I understand his point, but I disagree with it to a degree. If you're mostly around your own kind, that's mostly what you'll see.

Mexican fans do the same thing. Most people are not monoliths, so they don't think the same. David Benavidez classifies himself as Mexican. Canelo fans hate Benavidez with a passion.

If it were as simple as Mexican fans all supporting each other, then explain why Mexican fans are divided about David Benavidez and Canelo. What about Oscar Dela Hoya and Julio Cesar Chavez?

For example, there's a video called "What do Mexicans REALLY think about Mexican Americans by a Karencita. She interviewed countless native Mexicans in Mexico. You'll be surprised at what the natives feel about Mexican Americans.

Oscar Dela Hoya spoke about how he was rejected by Mexicans because he wasn't considered Mexican. He was considered a gringo. From Bud's perspective, all Mexicans in boxing support each other.

That might be true to a degree, but it's not always true. Let's listen to part of the interview to hear Bud's point of view. Please tell me what you think.
