New Car Test Drive With EHR: 2025 Dodge Charger is Shocking

Sage and I swung by Jacky jones Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & RAM of Hayesville, NC to check out the NEW 2025 electric Dodge Charger Daytona Stage 1 that John Mirandi said they had just got in. You all know that I'm a high octane burning hot rodder to the core, but I was curious about the electric car thing. This was the first electric car I ever drove and I will say that Dodge got it right. It still has a gas car feel, especially with the Fratzonic exhaust sound (that does sound more like the old Cruising' USA video game crossed with Star Wars to me). It features a creep mode that lets the car "idle" through a parking when you take your foot off the brake. The Stage 1 has 480 AWD horsepower and it feels good (wish we could try the 600hp Stage 2) and pulls smooth all the way. I do miss the shift of a trans. The car rides great, handles fantastic and is very roomy. It really changed my opinion on Electric Cars, I think they'd be a great commuter and round town car. Most people would only need to charge it weekly or bi-weekly because of the roughly 300 mile range. Oh, and it has an EV version of nitrous, the Power Shot button adds an instant 40hp bump and changes the Fratzonic sound. Video gamer cool. The good thing about EVs is that it'll save the gas for us ICE hot rodders. Overall I think it was a cool looking and fun car that didn't feel much different than the ICE cars we all drive. It was fast, comfortable, and Dodge is offering tons of incentives right now.
