The Feast of Divine Mercy

This Sunday is the feast day of Divine Mercy which marks the end of what the Church calls the Easter Octave or the 8 day of celebration in honor of Jesus’s victory over sin and death.

Now you maybe asking, why is the feast named Divine Mercy and what makes it special? Isn’t God’s mercy something always available to us? To which I would say AMEN, however, this day is marked in a very special way to remind us of this and in honor of it, the Church grants us an indulgence
