Alpha Foxtrot Romulus Comp First Impressions

We spent a morning putting a few hundred rounds through the Alpha Foxtrot Romulus Comp, a new double stack 1911 pistol for 2025. This is one that a lot of people have been wondering about, so we thought we would run it and see how it performs.
This thing runs great. Just like with every firearm we test, we pulled the Romulus Comp straight of the box and started running it. Out of ~400 rounds and multiple magazines, we only had one stoppage. After clearing it, the Romulus was back up and running with no further issues.
How does it feel to shoot? Really good. For a double stack 1911 that is coming to market at its price point, the Romulus Comp is an absolute blast. The comp definitely does its job and the tracking is awesome. As Evan states, the dot moves straight up and immediately back onto target. Pair all that with a trigger that keeps up with anyone behind the gun and you have a really cool new option for double stacks with the new Alpha Foxtrot Romulus Comp.
