Israeli air strikes across the Gaza Strip have killed at least 19 Palestinians since dawn on Wednesday.
One of the biggest was on a school in Gaza City.
The attack targeted a school in Tuffah neighborhood, which was housing displaced families.
It set the building on fire and at least 10 people, including a child, burned to death.
Many people are still trapped under the rubble.
The civil defence agency says its teams are unable to reach the area.

Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud has updates from Gaza City, Palestine.

Gaza faces annihilation under Israel’s 51-day siege, with over two million Palestinians starved of food, medicine and fuel by deliberate Israeli restrictions. Aid agencies report Israel’s blockade permits less than half the required supplies, collapsing markets into famine as families queue for single meals. Critical infrastructure lies in ruins from Israeli attacks, forcing civilians to rescue buried survivors barehanded after bulldozers were targeted. Consistent testimonies detail Israel’s systematic starvation tactics, from weaponizing food in detention to blocking aid lorries. With 51,000 killed by Israeli forces and crossings sealed, Gaza’s population teeters between mass starvation and expulsion. The world watches as Israel renders the enclave unlivable—destroying hospitals, bakeries and rescue gear with impunity. This manufactured humanitarian collapse continues unchallenged by a divided international community enabling Israel’s genocide.

A couple of months ago Pope Francis called the Israeli regime army 'terrorists':

"I continue to receive very serious and painful news from Gaza. Unarmed civilians are subjected to bombings and shootings. A mother and her daughter were killed by Israeli snipers while going to the restroom. It is terrorism."
