Castles in the Sand

From the album “TRUTH”.

Every empire tells a story.

They speak of progress and vision, pointing to towers and monuments as proof.
But they rarely speak of the cost.

Beneath every skyline are lives displaced, histories erased, and pain paved over.
Beneath the wealth are chains. Beneath the marble are bones.

The powerful build upward, often on sand.

The narrative is rewritten.
Pain is reframed as purpose.
Destruction is called development.

They say it’s renewal.
They say it’s legacy.
But the ground knows what was lost.

Plaques shine, but silence lingers.
Tours run, but memories remain.
No monument, however grand, escapes the truth beneath it.

This song begins in that quiet reckoning.
When the dream is still standing,
but the foundation is already giving way.

This isn’t about what we build.
It’s about what we bury to build it.
This is Castles in the Sand.
