My wife was the Chaplain for West Women’s And Domestic Abuse Shelter of The Salvation Army
She and I oversaw additionally operated SAFE SHELTER. Salvation Army Female Emergency Shelter for Single Women otherwise living in the streets.

There were horror stories among men and women of spousal abuse. Men too would go back to their abuser.

Or Women were being murdered in Multnomah County Park.

Women would talk to themselves. Swat at the air crying out don’t talk to me. Instead of living in a warm facility.

Don’t get me started on self determination when the person you’re trying to assist does not connect on all cylinders.

God helped us despite the many pitfalls of working with individuals who had multiple issues.
