Attorney General Bondi Hosts Cabinet Officials for Anti-Christian Bias Task Force Meeting
Washington, D.C. – Attorney General Pam Bondi hosted a high-level meeting of the Department of Justice’s Anti-Christian Bias Task Force today, joined by key members of the Trump administration’s cabinet. The gathering underscored a unified effort to combat what officials described as a growing pattern of discrimination against Christians within the federal government.
In her opening remarks, Attorney General Bondi laid out the mission and long-term goals of the task force, emphasizing the need to “protect the constitutional rights of Christian Americans and ensure equal treatment under the law.” She cited a concerning rise in cultural and institutional bias, calling for decisive action across federal agencies.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche reinforced Bondi’s vision and later delivered a passionate address to attendees:
“Good afternoon, everybody. First, thanks to Attorney General Bondi for convening us and to all members of the task force for your commitment to this important effort.
If you look around this table and the leadership that’s here, I know that — combined with our shared determination to establish sound, effective policies and to push back against any form of anti-Christian or anti-religious bias that has taken root within the federal government — this will allow us to carry out the President’s executive order.
Supporting the free expression of faith is not just a constitutional principle. It is something that all forms of civil government should be encouraging. At its core, the executive order we’re here to discuss affirms a fundamental truth: every individual has the freedom to choose their religious faith, and once they’ve made that choice, they should never be subject to discrimination or bias from our government.
Unfortunately, over the past several years, we’ve seen troubling signs to the contrary. Actions and policies have emerged that suggest an underlying prejudice against people of faith — particularly Christians. This task force was created to ensure that this never happens again in America. We will investigate what went wrong, uncover the facts, and ultimately chart a path forward.”
Blanche further noted that personal stories would be shared during the session — stories that, in his words, “reflect broader challenges from the Biden administration's policies,” which he criticized as infringing upon “unalienable rights.”
He also highlighted the importance of recognizing America’s governmental structure:
“We are a constitutional republic, not a pure democracy. This distinction matters, because in a republic, individual rights are protected — even when unpopular. Misunderstanding this principle allows our institutions and media to misrepresent our founding values. Our government’s purpose is to secure rights, not restrict them.”
Among the cabinet members present were Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and FBI Director Kash Patel — signaling broad executive support for the initiative.
As Blanche concluded his remarks, he thanked members of the media for attending the public portion of the meeting:
“We appreciate your attention and your presence. At this time, we will be moving into our internal discussions. Please make your way out so we may continue the rest of our work in closed session. Thank you.”
No questions were taken from reporters as the room was cleared for the private portion of the proceedings.
