Along the Rock: The Arts Stream - Artist Glenn Bodish

In this episode of Along the Rock: The Arts Stream, Mark Morris talks with Glenn Bodish, an artist and professor at Sauk Valley Community College, about the Student Art Exhibition as well as his own.

There are two events going on, one for Bodish, and one for his students. The Student Art Exhibition runs through April 22 at Sauk Valley Community College (SVCC). Students could have chosen any artwork they wanted, but were required to have at least one piece that they did in class under instruction. Up to $750 in awards are given to students, and the SVCC President Art Award is given to three artists. Some student artwork may be available for purchase at the exhibition, too.

Bodish’s artwork, on the other hand, will be featured at Water Street Studios in Batavia, IL. His exhibition runs through May 3 and features “nothing but blue skies” and “nothing left to say”. “Nothing but blue skies” consists of a series of artworks entirely consisting of blue skies, while “nothing left to say” consists of some works using mixed media materials such as artist’s tape.
