In 2024, we watched the first trial of Karen Read. The first trial (30 days in length) ended in a hung jury on all three counts. Nearly one year later, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is trying again to prosecute Karen Read for the death of John O'Keefe.

This time around we have new attorneys, new evidence, new strategies, and new issues!

Karen Read is accused of murdering her boyfriend and Boston Police Officer, John O’Keefe, on January 29, 2022. Prosecutors allege that Reed struck O’Keefe with her vehicle during a snowstorm and left O’Keefe to die from his injuries and exposure to the cold weather.

Reed has been charged with Second-Degree Murder, Manslaughter, and Leaving the Scene Where of a DUI Fatality.
