CNN’s Earth Day Segment, Trump’s America Going In Reverse

CNN’s Earth Day segment, headlined “Earth Day In The Age Of President Trump,” is an anti-Trump setup, pretending to be news. The host began: "When it comes to protecting the Earth, the US seems to be going in reverse in a way. And the group chat is going to talk about that."

Their panel: Democrat strategist Chuck Rocha in a cowboy hat, establishment Republican Kristen Soltis Anderson, the Democrat host, and another Democrat named Jerusalem—no Trump supporters. This show aired John Bolton right before this segment to bash Trump.

The host frets: “Since then politically, there's been a lot of changes. Obviously, Trump pulled out of the Paris Agreement...and DOGE is going after weather and climate programs.” Then to Rocha: “You're actually at the National Wildlife Federation as well, so it sounds like non-profits are starting to feel the effects of the new administration.”

Rocha, on the NWF’s 501(c)(4) board, said: “What we do is we fight for to make sure animals don’t become extinct. And we protect public lands and public spaces for hunting, fishing, and outdoors which you would think as all Americans is pretty easy. But we heard this morning that lots of larger non-profits working in the environmental space are gonna be the target of this administration...because of grants and not paying taxes because they are doing good deeds. So people can give them tax-exempt donation... We accept donations.”

Rocha’s NWF claims to save animals from going extinct yet funds hunting to “preserve” them, cashing grants and donations for both. Rocha added: “He’s (Trump) trying to say, these folks do too many political things and if you talk about the environment with this administration, they think you are being political. Most folks just think it’s common sense.” The host countered: “No a lot of people think it’s political and liberal leaning.” Rocha said clean water and air are political. The host laughed.

Rocha, a veteran Democrat strategist since the early 1990s and board member of the National Wildlife Federation’s 501(c)(4) advocacy arm, proves environmental groups are political and lean left.
