Chef Zakir Qureshi, a beloved figure in Pakistan's culinary scene, has passed away in Karachi at the age of 58. Known for his long-running television shows and expertise in Pakistani and international cuisine, he inspired generations of home cooks and professionals alike. He had been battling kidney-related illness and was undergoing dialysis treatment. Born in Karachi in 1967, Chef Zakir began his career in 1980 at the Sheraton Hotel and later became a household name through his shows on Hum TV and Masala TV. His funeral prayers will be held today after Asr prayers at Jamia Rashidia in Saudabad, Karachi.
