HERO OF RUSSIA: Ivan Kalashnikov Held Off 12 Ukrainians in a Pitched Battle

An exclusive 20-minute video of the feat of the assault troops of the 37th separate guards motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Armed Forces from Buryatia in the Urozhainoye area, where five of our men fought against twelve militants of the Ukrainian formations who attacked our stronghold. One of the fighters stepped forward to conduct aimed fire, while his comrades worked from the flanks. With their skill and fearlessness, they put the enemy to flight. The name of the hero who took the brunt of the battle is Ivan Kalashnikov, deputy platoon commander. For this feat, Ivan Kalashnikov received the Gold Star of the Hero of Russia, and his comrades who participated in that battle were awarded the Order of Courage.
