The Mystery Disappearance of Sudiksha Konanki: A Timeline of Events

Sudiksha Konanki, a 20-year-old pre-medical student at the University of Pittsburgh, vanished on March 6, 2025, during a spring break trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Her disappearance has since captivated international attention, prompting investigations by Dominican authorities, the FBI, and Interpol.

On March 6, around 3:00 a.m., Sudiksha was seen at the hotel bar with her friends. Surveillance footage later showed her walking arm-in-arm with 22-year-old Joshua Riibe, a student from Iowa, toward the beach at approximately 4:15 a.m. The others in their group left around 5:00 a.m., but Sudiksha remained with Riibe.

Riibe reported that while in the ocean, a wave swept them out to sea. He claimed to have helped Sudiksha back to shore before he lost consciousness after swallowing seawater. Upon waking, he found Sudiksha missing and assumed she had left. He fell asleep on a beach chair and left the beach alone around 8:55 a.m

Later that morning, Sudiksha's white swimsuit cover-up and sandals were found on a beach chair near the Riu República Hotel. This discovery raised concerns about her well-being and prompted further investigation.
