Poople being polite to chatGPT is costing millions…
Saying please and thank you apparently sets the whole tone of ChatGPT’s response to a user, taking even more computing power than normal. And also, because every interaction adds up and uses extra electricity.
But OpenAI CEO Sam Altman calls it ‘money well spent’.
