In today’s video, I’m sharing Day 1 of our real-life writing project, where my daughter is learning how to write a narrative using her own experience: starting a lip balm business for market day.

No pressure. No made-up prompts. Just real learning with real purpose.

Here’s what we did:
✅ Broke down narrative elements (character, plot, theme, POV, etc.)
✅ Used a personalized writing prompt rooted in her actual project
✅ Practiced paragraph structure with a strong hook
✅ Applied grammar lessons using her own words
✅ Even tied in a hands-on science moment
