Did Shakur Stevenson Confirm Firing Eddie Hearn?

According to Dan Rafael, Shakur Stevenson has fired his promoter, Eddie Hearn. Did Shakur Stevenson say this? No. Did James Prince say this? No. Did Eddie Hearn say this? No.

This is a rumor that Dan Rafael spread on his X account. Dan Rafael said, " Let me do this again, worded better: In reporting on the July 12th card with Shakur vs. Zepeda, a source with knowledge told me that Shakur Stevenson split from Matchroom.

Shakur Stevenson's manager, James Prince, hired Lou DiBella as his representative for the event to handle things on their behalf." End Quote.

The question I have is this. If Shakur signed a 2-fight deal with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Promotions. How could Shakur break a legally binding contract without going to court or being sued and then hire another promoter while under contract with Eddie Hearn?

Something about Dan Rafael's tweet doesn't sound right. We need confirmation from Shakur Stevenson or James Prince. If Shakur has not confirmed Dan Rafael's tweet that Stevenson has fired Eddie Hearn, then Dan Rafael is lying.

Over the weekend, Josh Warrington, Josh Padley, Agyarko, Dalton Smith, Jorge Garcia, Gabriela Fundora, Tyler Denny, Frazier Clarke, Sam Eggington, and Ben Whittaker won their matches.

In other news, on May 4th, Inoue will defend his undisputed titles in Las Vegas against Ramon Cardenas, a Mexican-American fighter being promoted by Sampson Lewkowicz.

I like to call this card the Puerto Rican invasion. This card is headlined by the Puerto Rican assassin himself, Edgar Berlanga. The fight card read as follows:

Edgar Berlanga vs Hamzah Sheeraz
Shakur Stevenson vs William Zepeda
Alberto Puello vs Subriel Matias
David Morrell vs. Imam Khataev

As you can see, Edgar Berlanga, Subriel Matias, and Shakur Stevenson are on the same card. This is why I call this card the Puerto Rican invasion. His Excellency Turki Alalshikh recognizes Edgar Berlanga's greatness.

So, he decided to make Edgar Berlanga the headliner of his card. Edgar Berlanga is the King of New York, has keys to the city, is the cash cow, the new face of boxing, and the Prince of Puerto Rico.

It's only right that this fight be held in New York. Sources say that the Mayor will be there to unveil a statue in Edgar Berlanga's honor. What do you think about Dan Rafael's rumor about Shakur Stevenson firing Eddie Hearn?

I've told people on this platform that if Boots decided to move to 154. he would still have problems finding a willing opponent to fight him. Why? Because the fighters he needs to fight are with different promoters.

Some Philly fans were optimistic that Boots would find bigger and better fights at 154. I begged to differ. And now boxing fans are starting to see what I'm talking about.

Fighters who don't make a lot of money want career high paydays to fight Boots... because he's high risk. Mario Barrios, Eimantis Stanionis, Brian Norman Jr and now Charles Conwell have all rejected Eddie Hearn offers.

Sighting the offers were too low. In order for Boots to get the type of fights he needs on his lack luster resume. Eddie Hearn is gonna have to overpay these fighters.

If not, then Boots will have no choice but to defend his title against Karen Chuka-Chuka at 147. Or, fight Madrimov at 154. This fight makes sense because Madrimov is a Matchroom fighter.

Boots can fight Conner Benn. Maybe even reach out to Dela Hoya for Vergil Ortiz. 4 fighters are all saying the same thing about Eddie Hearn sending lowball offers.

Boots is either being ducked. Or Eddie Hearn is doing bad business. Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia said the same thing about Bob Arum when he made $3 and 4 million dollar offers for the Crawford fight. Both men turned it down sighting Bob was being cheap.

Do you think Boots is being ducked? Or, do you think Eddie Hearn is a bad promoter that can't get the job done for Jaron Boots Ennis?

PS. I told you before... Boots will now get the Terence Crawford treatment. And there's nothing he can do about it.
