(This is another analysis about the fallout of Trump's tariff war as it affects the US, China & the rest of the world. The $dollar is at a 3 year low. For every $1 that China loses in this tariff war, the US will lose $7, which doesn't sound like a step in the right direction. For the past 8-10 years, China has been planning how to decouple from the US economy, but the US hasn't done anything to rebuild lost manufacturing. We also haven't done anything to upgrade our educational system to graduate top engineering & scientific skills needed to rebuild our lost manufacturing capabilities. This would normally take decades & focused planning at all levels, which hasn't happened.

For many years, China has focused on graduating highly skilled engineers & scientists & building effective manufacturing capabilities that can ship desired products throughout the world at a competitive price point. This has included creating an effective supply chain for manufacturing that takes years. None of this can be easily & quickly replicated in the US, which has much higher labor costs. Walmart imports 60% of their products from China & Amazon about 70%. Neither Walmart or Amazon can quickly find alternate sources at equivalent prices. This could result in a lot of shelves going empty this year.

In the US, it is the lower & middle classes who will be harmed the most, especially with inflation. A lot of our critical medicines come from China. What happens when these people wake up?

As a reminder, China didn't force manufacturing to move out of the US. Yes, there is a trade imbalance with the US purchasing more from China than China purchasing from the US. But that doesn't mean that China is ripping the US off! The entire exports from China to the US represent only about 3% of China' GDP, regardless of what the US media & politicians are saying.

Listen to this entire discussion to better understand the massive changes that will be taking place in the US & plan accordingly for how best to effectively navigate to better survive. — RAD)
