Was Resident Evil Apocalypse a Worthy Follow-Up to Resident Evil (2002)

Resident Evil's live action franchise is terrible. We all know that. But where did it begin to go downhill? Some say from the very start. I say it began with the aptly titled Apocalypse.
Apocalypse follows returning heroine Alice as she joins forces with fan-favorites Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira as they attempt to rescue a young girl, evade the relentless Nemesis, and escape the doomed Raccoon City.
