Notwithstanding the proclaimed cessation of hostilities in observance of the Easter holiday, the Armed Forces of Ukraine persist in their bombardment of Russian territory.

In the Belgorod region, air defense forces successfully intercepted 48 drones. Concurrently, three civilians sustained injuries, including two minors, due to an FPV drone. By 12:30 on April 20, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had conducted 444 shelling attacks and over 900 drone attacks on the positions of the Russian Armed Forces and civilian infrastructure.

In the Sumy direction, hostilities are underway in the vicinity of Oleshnya and the outskirts of the Gornal Monastery. In the Kupiansk direction, Russian military forces are advancing toward Kupiansk. In the Liman direction, they are continuing to extend the bridgehead on the right bank of the Zherebets River.
