The message on April 20, 2025 was on the death, burial and resurrection of Christ for the traditional Easter message for 2025. A reference was made to Appendix 156 from the Companion Bible when we looked at the phrasing of “three days, and three nights” to see how important it is to see the timing of the events. It started on Wednesday, when it was dark from Noon til 3pm. The Thursday was an high day as the Jesus was taken and laid in the tomb. Then on Sunday, being the First Day of the Week – the two Mary’s came early and the Angel told them that Jesus is not here for He has risen… Matthew 28:5-7 KJV “5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.” We serve a risen Savior! There is no other way to be saved other than believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will have eternal life with him through the resurrection! This message covered Matthew 28:1-7 KJV and John 19:1-42 KJV.

The scripture reading was from Matthew 28:1-7 KJV “28 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.”
