The Quanser / NRC / DRDC HITS project : Haptics-based Immersive Telepresence System was the ultimate EOD / IED / UXO robot for advanced EOD operator control that can perform human tasks like pulling a wire remotely from a command station anywhere on Earth.

Started in 2009 it demonstrated a world's first EOD robot to the NATO EOD COE in Trencin in 2014. Holland went on to copy it.
