Special Daily Devotional for Resurrection Sunday: Celebrating the Risen King (Lamb of Love)

Scripture Reading:
- Luke 24:1-6a (NIV): "On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two angels in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them... ‘Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!’"
- John 11:25-26 (NIV): "Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?’"

Resurrection Sunday, or Easter, is the cornerstone of our Christian faith—a day of unparalleled joy and celebration! The tomb is empty, and Jesus, our Savior, has risen, just as He promised. This is the ultimate victory: death has been defeated, sin’s power is broken, and we are offered eternal life through Christ’s triumph.

Today, let’s honor the Risen King by reflecting on the hope and new life He brings. The women at the tomb expected to mourn, but instead, they encountered the greatest news in history. Like them, we’re called to shift our focus from despair to celebration, from death to life. Jesus’ resurrection assures us that no darkness can overcome His light. What does this mean for you today? It means every struggle, every fear, and every loss is overshadowed by the reality of Christ’s victory. You are alive in Him!

Prayer:
Risen Lord, we celebrate You today with hearts full of joy! Thank You for conquering death and giving us the promise of eternal life. Your resurrection fills us with hope and reminds us that nothing can separate us from Your love. Help us to live as Easter people—radiating Your light, sharing Your hope, and walking in the power of Your victory. May our lives honor You, our Risen King, today and always. In Your glorious name, Amen.

The empty tomb is God’s promise fulfilled—Jesus is alive, and so are we in Him. Celebrate the Risen King today!
