This is because spiritual faith is not authoritarian-based belief or rote acceptance. Maybe spiritual faith simply means being true. Maybe spiritual faith simply means keeping promises at a higher level. Then being true requires seeking Understanding. By "Understanding" I don't mean "New Thought" understanding, or Christian Science understanding. And I don't mean Gnostic understanding. I would never interpret Understanding for you. Oprah said there are many paths to God. I don't believe that. There is one path. There is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. By setting up a world of lies we the path can seem more difficult. But what did Christ mean when he said, "The Truth shall set you free".

Giving over authorship to God is an absolute statement of something which, quite obviously, by it's nature, would take striving and repeated attempts. Could we expect 'Forgiveness' for what we do not humbly acknowledge as having been in error? It's well to say that all our actions going into the future will be only with the guidance of God. But who accomplishes that? It would seem that Karmically one must come to realize where one is falling down.

This is where the concept of "Time" really comes into play. As we begin to learn about God we being to realize that we don't need to act in ignorance of God, for our benefit and using our own timed objectives. Instead of being a conveyor belt carrying ice cubes through a giant freezer, our hearts become open to what is naturally able to pour out from them for whatever greater good is available through God's own natural laws. The builders didn't reject personal gain. All that the builders rejected was Knowledge. The Knowledge of their part in God's Domain would eclipse some selfish desires, so they rejected Eternal Spiritual Life.
