Sloppy job but strictly to show the basics of how to bypass the alps volume pot on HOOD clone amp. Desolder wires on rca connectors. Pull them under the amp board on the side of the heat sinks. Cut this single thicker wire close to the volume pot.
Two thinner wires also need to be cut. After cutting them off the volume pot, pull towards rca connectors. Trim to size. Strip the cable to expose raw copper. Be careful. They are rather thin. Now solder each cable to corresponding rca connector. White wire is the positive/signal wire and it goes to the center pin on rca connector. Bare copper wire is the ground. Twist and solder to outside part of the rca connector. Make sure they don’t touch the chassis or each other and you are done.
