GTA: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition | Mission #28: BADLANDS

Following the violent confrontation at the Mulholland Intersection, which led to Sweet’s arrest, Carl is forcibly taken out of Los Santos by C.R.A.S.H. officers Frank Tenpenny and Eddie Pulaski and assigned with eliminating a former police officer who, now under FBI witness protection, possesses incriminating information about Tenpenny. The target is hiding in a secluded cabin on Mount Chiliad. Carl must track him down from Angel Pine. After flushing the witness out, Carl chases him down the mountain, intercepts his escape, and ensures he never talks. He then photographs the body as proof before leaving the scene.

Afterwards Cesar contacts Carl, worried about his well-being and Kendl’s safety. Carl tells him he's in an unfamiliar rural area, far from Los Santos. Cesar reassures him that Kendl is safe and arranges for his cousin to meet Carl in Dillimore for protection. Later Sweet calls from the prison hospital, frustrated about his situation and urging Carl to act. Carl promises to do something but insists on securing Kendl’s safety first. Despite the dire circumstances, he reassures Sweet that he won’t abandon him.
