Ararat River, NC

Small group of Kayak campers paddling the Ararat River close to Mt Pilot of Mayberry frame.
Water level 1.2, was alittle low, 6 more inches would have been nice.
Was a really nice relaxing paddle among good people in good spirits with plenty of laughter, beauty of creation, we even picked up a lone kayaker and made a new friend. Post paddle was ice cream run and a small town.

Driving back home through small towns, reminded me of what America is, not the cities of packed humanity, but the friendly people of the small rural communities that make this nation what it is.
People asking is kayaking an addiction, I tell them no, but the drama free, peaceful state of mind is.
Also in the video you will notice alot of movement, the camera was mounter on my hat, I am constantly checking on my fellow kayaker, this is something that I developed in military, you always check your buddy, reason I do not usually mount camera on my head gear,
