Larry Walters, or "Lawnchair Larry", had his 15 minutes of fame back in 1982 when he "piloted" a standard garden chair to 16,500ft above Long Beach L.A. using nothing more than some surplus weather balloons, strong rope, a comfy $109 Sears garden chair, and a big pair of balls, "Lawnchair Larry" achieved his childhood dream of solo flight.....and made it onto the David Letterman show.
