I had to snowshoe about a mile to get to this awesome volcano. Unfortunately that meant stapping my huge snowshoes to my backpack with a bungee cord, even while climbing down precarious lava walls. This place is far more awesome than I remember, and it took much longer than expected, so it was the last hike of the day. The cell signal broke up a few times, so the video quality isn't the best. There was just enough climbing adventure to present a challenge without major danger. However, I don't recommend inexperienced hikers climbing on lava rock like this, as pieces can dislodge or trip you easily.
