Senator Van Hollen met Kilmar Abrego Garcia

Senator Van Hollen met Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the man wrongly deported to El Salvador by the Trump administration on Thursday.

The US Supreme Court has directed Trump's administration to facilitate Abrego Garcia's return after the Washington acknowledged he was deported because of an administrative error.

But the government has given no indication its plans to return him with Trump describing Abrego earlier today as a 'not very innocent guy.'

Van Hollen wants the Trump administration to show evidence of Ábrego García's gang involvement in court.
