The Triumphal Entry

In this powerful sermon on Matthew 21:1–13, we journey through two dramatic and deeply symbolic moments in Jesus’ final days: His triumphant entry into Jerusalem and the forceful cleansing of the temple. These events contrast an outward appearance of worship with a life of sin.

The crowd celebrates Jesus as King with palm branches and loud hosannas, echoing the joy of victory and hope. But the celebration quickly gives way to a heart broken Jesus as enters the temple and finds the corruption of the Temple by those who are to protect it.

This message explores the tension between our outward expressions and private compromise, between the appearance of faith yet a life that yields to and accepts the world. What does it mean for Jesus to enter not just a city, but our lives—and challenge what needs to be overturned?
