Holy week is on of the most celebrated times on the Christian calendar. It is a time when Christians remember, relive, recreate the last week that Jesus spent as a man on planet Earth.

Holy Week begins with the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. We celebrate that as Palm Sunday. Thursday of Holy Week is called Maundy Thursday, the day we remember Jesus washing the feet of His disciples and sharing with them what we call the Last Supper. This is when Jesus instituted the regular celebration of Holy Communion, or the Eucharist. This teaching explores the scriptures where Jesus said that we must eat His flesh and drink His blood in order to have any part in Him.

Holy Week continues with Good Friday remembering the crucifixion of Jesus and the death of His body. Holy Week culminates with the resurrection of Jesus. This teaching examines the early church idea that Cristian hope is not placed in the cross, but in the resurrection.
