The Truth on Why Shakur Stevenson Apologized to Turki Alalshikh

Now that Oscar Dela Hoya has confirmed Shakur Stevenson vs. William Zepeda's fight, I've realized how this fight has been made. On April 13th, Shakur Stevenson tweeted disrespectfully at Turki Alalshkh, calling him and his team towel heads.

That's a racial slur towards Arabs. On Tuesday's show, I explained why it was a bad idea for Shakur to disrespect the only person who could pay him the money he wanted.

On April 17th, Oscar Dela Hoya confirmed that William Zepeda will fight Shakur Stevenson next. On April 16th, Shakur Steven tweeted an apology to Turki Alalshikh and his people.

Are you picking up what I'm putting down? If I were a betting man, I would bet that the more mature, level-headed people on Shakur's team told him how dumb he was for disrespecting his paymaster and told him to apologize.

Shakur's team had to reach out to Turki and clean this sh*t up; soon after Shakur's public apology, the fight was announced. This fight will be held on a Riyadh Season card.

I bet my friend Timothy Bradley doesn't like that at all. As Tim Bradley and Turki Alalshikh detractors would say, "Shakur Stevenson kissed the ring." Every promoter. Every fighter and every manager will kiss Turki Alalshikh's ring.

Do you want to know why? The same reason why retired fighters, managers, and promoters kiss the ring of ESPN, op Rank, PBC, Matchroom, Queensbury, Pro Box, and Golden Boy Promotions.

They want money, so they all have to play ball. PBC fighters kiss the ring to Al Haymon. The PC is now kissing Turki Alalshikh's ring. Golden Boy fighters kiss the ring of Oscar Dela Hoya.

The same applies to Matchroom, Queensbury, and Top Rank fighters and employees. They all kiss the ring of their bosses. Shakur Stevenson discovered he was not the draw he thought he was.

Shakur Stevenson discovered that no one on Planet Earth would overpay him for the money he wanted to fight William Zepeda. So, after his team talked some sense into Shakur, he bowed down and apologized.
