Jesus made it clear—He is not just a man. He said, “My Father is always working, and so am I” (John 5:17). That made the Jews furious, because they knew exactly what He meant: He was calling God His Father in a way no one else ever did, making Himself equal with God. That’s why they wanted to kill Him (John 5:18). He wasn’t just saying He could break the Sabbath—He was saying He had the same right as God. Then in Mark 2:28, Jesus calls Himself “Lord of the Sabbath.” That means He has power even over the Law. No prophet ever claimed that. Only God could. So either Jesus is a liar, a lunatic, or He truly is LORD.

Bible Verses:

John 5:17-18 – "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working." – Jesus makes Himself equal with God.

Mark 2:27-28 – "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath." – Jesus shows He rules over the Law.

Matthew 12:8 – "For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath." – Jesus claims authority no one else has.
