Exercise #120 From the Essential Elements Snare Drum Tutorial

Welcome back to Musician's Adition! In today’s lesson, we’re diving into Exercise 120 from the Essential Elements snare drum section. 🥁 This exercise is introducing more complex stickings, single and double strokes, and buzz rolls.

We’ll start on the practice pad to break everything down:
- Learn and isolate tricky stickings like right-left-right-right and left-right-left-left
- Focus on control and evenness between hands
- Practice buzz rolls that start on the left hand
- Use check patterns to compare alternate and non-alternate stickings

Once you’ve got the patterns down, we’ll piece together the full exercise at a slower tempo—then take it to the drum! This video is all about building coordination, evenness of sound, and stick control.
