30 Minute Lower Body HIT Calisthenics Workout

Last warm sunshiny day for a while as a cold front moves in this afternoon. Great day for a lower body workout! I did this one HIT style again with w sets to failure for each exercise with 1:30 rest between each set. These exercises were generally more demanding from a cardio standpoint, and the extra 30s helped. Pistol Squats were more stable today and I was able to get 12 Reps on my first set. The banded step ups are a new exercise. I like the feel, but I need to make sure that I initiate the step with the elevated leg instead of pushing off with the lower leg. Box jumps were fun! I probably could have gotten 1-2 more jumps, but my rest between the last two reps was longer than I wanted and I didn't want to eat it on an attempt either. Nordic Leg Curls felt strong. I was able to fight for 7 partial reps today. I stopped there though, because my resistance to the negative wouldn't have been great enough for an eighth. One legged hip thrusts were a good addition with the exception that the game grass was a bit slippery. So, I had to continually adjust my footing. Finally, I tried a new and surprisingly effective exercise to finish things off, kneeling RDL's. The hams get quite a lot of stretch on these! All in all, a great lower body workout.
