The 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is the 110th edition of the U.S. Open Cup, a knockout domestic cup competition in American soccer. It is organized by the United States Soccer Federation and will include 96 teams, comprising 64 professional teams from all three tiers of the U.S. soccer league system and 32 amateur teams from the "Open Division." The competition began on March 18 and will conclude with the final on October 1.

Los Angeles FC is the current champion, having won the 2024 edition, but they will not be defending their title as they are participating in the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup.

For the 2025 US Open Cup, 16 MLS teams will enter in the Round of 32, while teams participating in the CONCACAF Champions Cup will be replaced by affiliated MLS Next Pro reserve teams and two independent teams starting from the first round.

Las Vegas Lights FC is a professional soccer team based in Las Vegas, Nevada, that plays in the USL Championship league. The team was founded on August 11, 2017, and plays its home games at Cashman Field, which has a capacity of 9,334 spectators.

The team's most recent performance was notable, finishing fourth in the Western Conference and reaching the Conference Finals in the 2024 season. Las Vegas Lights FC is owned by José Bautista and is led by head coach Antonio Nocerino.

The Chattanooga Red Wolves SC is an American professional soccer club based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. They are a founding member of USL League One, which is the third division of American men's soccer. The club was founded on August 1, 2018, and plays their home games at CHI Memorial Stadium, which is Tennessee's first professional soccer-specific stadium.

The game was entertaining with it going through 2 extra periods followed by penalty kicks to decide the winner.
