China analyst says that the CCP and the USA are in a zero-sum existential battle

"[The CCP] believe that we are an existential threat. And we're an existential threat not because of anything that we say or do, but because of who we are. An insecure regime in Beijing is worried about the inspirational impact of America's values and form of governance on the Chinese people.

So, we will never have amicable relations with China as long as the communist party rules it. It's either them or us. There's only going to be one survivor. It'll either be the People's Republic of China or the United States of America - not both.
