"Glory, Glory" (also known as "When I Lay My Burden Down", "Since I Laid My Burden Down", "Glory, Glory, Hallelujah Since I Laid My Burden Down" and other titles) is an American spiritual folk song, which has been recorded by many artists in a variety of genres, including folk, country, blues, rock, and gospel. It is typically very melodically similar to another popular gospel song, "Will the Circle Be Unbroken". I`m partial to how Mississippi John Hurt played and sang it. Guitar is tuned to open D tuning (C sharp actual) only the 1st string is tuned same as the 2nd string. Two finger thumb lead fingerpicking, just like on banjo.
