The sufficiency economy requires eliminating austerity policies and manufactured scarcity so that people can work less to live more.
A society of abundance must include time for developing meaningful lives, not glorifying superfluous and luxurious consumption.
A society of abundance does not force people to live in a permanent state of worry, fearing losing their jobs, homes, access to health care, and other vital services.
A society of abundance does not resort to manufactured scarcity to control and exploit the citizenry.
A society of abundance in which only the upper echelons of the social ladder benefit is a dysfunctional society.
This reality needs to change.
