The first things to look at when supporting someone with depression:
🌿 Diet – Are they getting enough nutrients to support brain health?
☀️ Sunlight – Regular exposure to natural light can naturally boost mood.
🛏️ Sleep – Is their rest deep and consistent? Poor sleep can worsen symptoms.
🚶 Movement – Even gentle daily exercise can lift spirits and reduce stress.
🧠 Gut Health – An unhealthy gut can directly impact emotional wellbeing.
🌬️ Breathing – Are they breathing deeply and slowly, or shallow and rapid? Proper breathing calms the nervous system and improves mental clarity.
💧 Hydration – The brain is a hydroelectric system — no hydro, no electricity. Just starting to drink a little more water each day can improve focus, mood, and energy levels.
Sometimes, the smallest lifestyle shifts lead to the most powerful healing.
