Hamas Releases Footage of Russian Hostage in Gaza Pleading for Agreement

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas (designated a terrorist organization by the U.S., EU, and others), have released video footage of two hostages held in Gaza.

One of them, Russian citizen Maxim Kharkin, appeared on camera describing the harsh conditions of captivity and warning of an impending shortage of food and water.

Kharkin urged Israeli citizens to pressure their government into reaching an agreement with Hamas, citing the danger posed by the renewed Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.

Previously, a Hamas spokesperson stated that Kharkin was slated for release in the second stage of a hostage deal, reportedly at Russia’s request.

However, Israel have stalled the negotiations, and Israeli Air Force operations have resumed targeting Palestinian civilians & infrastructure n the Gaza Strip.
