‘Necrophosis’ – First-Person Puzzle-Adventure Sets You In A Macabre World Cursed By Death And Decay

Necrophosis is a first-person adventure/walking simulator in which you unravel the mysteries of a cursed planet in which death and decay are pervasive.

There are a good amount of games that claim to be ‘Lovecraftian’, but very few of them actually capture the mood, tone, and dread of H.P. Lovecraft’s writing. Necrophosis seems to do that, at least judging by this trailer. It’s got stark, almost shocking, imagery set in a dark, fantastical realm that gives everything a truly otherworldly, alien feel. Like you’ve descended into someplace you don’t belong. If the game is as impressive as the trailer, this will be one to watch.

Necrophosis releases for PC on April 25, 2025.
