Fresh from ritual work in Peru, I'm unpicking Alan Moore's Chaos Magic takedown!

The comic legend throws shade at "fast food magic" in his latest book, and shockingly... I mostly agree with him? But when Moore starts dismissing "lower voodoo ideologies" while I'm sitting with Shipibo shamans, we've got problems.

Moore thinks chaos magicians are just spoiled kids wanting magic to solve their problems — and he's not entirely wrong. But is practical enchantment really just spiritual entitlement, or the first step on a transformative journey?

And why do Gen X occultists disappear for 25 years then return claiming nothing's changed?
