US senator heads to El Salvador to check on wrongly deported man

A U.S. senator said on Wednesday (April 16) he was going to El Salvador to check on a man wrongly deported by Donald Trump's administration, and try and discuss his release with officials there. It comes as lawyers challenging the incarceration in El Salvador of around 240 Venezuelans deported by the U.S. said the Salvadoran government is denying the prisoners access to attorneys and contact with the outside world.
